CyberOverload happens when our electronic gadgets (cell phones, computers, TV, etc.) interfere with our ability get things done at work and our capacity to relax at home. This book is about how we can overcome CyberOverload to enhance our productivity, our creativity, and our sanity, while still benefiting from the great gifts that technology has to offer. It is intended for several audiences: (1) people who want to get more done at work, at home, or on the go; (2) managers who want to motivate their employees toward greater productivity; (3) creative types who want to increase their capacity for innovation; and (4) anyone who wants to balance their technological connectedness with their personal or professional goals. Why is this such a problem? The answer can be found by understanding the way our brains work what they can and cannot do and why some of the feats that technology is asking us to perform are so difficult. Conquer CyberOverload explains the relevant research and then supplies a myriad of practical steps for balancing our access to limitless information with time for thoughtful reflection and relaxation.
