Jim Stein is an emeritus professor of mathematics at California State University–Long Beach. He is the author of 30 articles on mathematics as well as several books that explain mathematics to general audiences, including How Math Can Save Your Life, How Math Explains the World, and The Right Decision. He has been a guest blogger for the Huffington Post and Psychology Today and has conducted conferences for the National Science Foundation.
