Modern civilization is helpless as ancient gods battle for the Sixth and Final World of Earth. The second book in the 12 series, the rains return two years after modern civilization had been nearly destroyed by the Great Flood. The fate of the world lies in the hands of two orphans from the slums of a Latin American city. Can Anta and Koya find the secret to stop the rain? Their love for each other must be powerful enough to survive the wrath of a ruthless dictator and the magical powers of celestial beings intent on the destruction of the human race.

Jeffrey Marcus Oshins’ dozen-year career as a Congressional staffer began at age fifteen when he was appointed as a Congressional page by the Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives. He has been on the staff of numerous presidential and political campaigns. Presently, he is the director of CBEDS.org, which develops community-based solutions to problems of economic development, crime prevention, homelessness, mental health, and housing. He is the author of the 12 series, an apocalyptic vision of the end of civilization. The idea for the novels came on a college graduation trip to South America in 1974. While walking down from the ruins of Machu Picchu at night, the thought came to him–if this could end so quickly for the Incas could it happened to us? Oshins is the founder of BookUsher, a California-based company that provides a full range of services to authors. He is a musician and filmmaker who composed and produced the video for 12: A Novel About the End of the Mayan Calendar viewable on YouTube, http://youtu.be/UG7TH24n2OE. A three-song EP by the band in the novel, Apokaful, is available through DeepSix records. A film based on 12: A Novel About the End of the Mayan
