One among them, Emicho, the Black Lord of Leisingen, brings the Holy War into Mainz. Through an unfortunate series of events, the young clerical student is thrust into the crusade movement, unknowingly and unwillingly, a part of Emicho's armed pilgrimage. After Emicho's army is defeated and dispersed on the Hungarian border, Brother Rabbit is abandoned, forgotten and alone, far from the lands he knows.
