Sinopsis
Upset with the state's general quality of life issues, liberal Democratic Governor Joe Stewart, teams up with an independent thinking Republican State Senator, Marilyn Wainwright, to introduce a popular land use bill. The author weaves an interesting plot of sex, party politics, lobbyist influence, and diverse personalities as the bill wends its way through the legislative process. Along the way the reader will find out just how complex the legislative process is and how situation dependent new legislation can be. A large cast of colorful characters add to the suspense of the plot.

Jim Kadlecek grew up in northeastern Colorado and was a member of the State Senate for two terms, 1975 to 1982. He now lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Jim Kadlecek was a member of the Colorado State Senate for two terms, 1975 to 1982. He is past president of the Southern New Mexico of Common Cause and is active in business and environmental affairs. He grew up in northeastern Colorado and now lives in Las Cruces, NM.
