This is the first and only book to date with more than one thousand color photographs, taken by fifty-four expert photographers specializing in orchids, of the species of Masdevallia, Dracula, Porroglossum and Trisetella, many never before published in book form. The taxonomy includes Carl Luer's original Masdevallia genera along with his new genera for some of the groups, plus the latest molecular research by others. Included are texts by orchid experts Gary Meyer, Alfonso Ducette, Marguerite Webb, Alexander Hirtz, Rosemarie Zelenko, Herschel Littlegreen and Harry Zelenko.

Acerca del autor
Harry Zelenko, founder of Z A I Publications is a graphic and industrial designer, writer. artist and editor. Formerly a New Yorker, he now lives in Ecuador and with his wife, Rosemarie, they grow more than eight thousand orchids. Other Zelenko publications include Orchids: Species of Peru, Orchids: The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Oncidium, How Not to Kill Your Orchids. For nearly a decade, Zelenko has written and produced a series of spreads titled Orchids in Art for the American Orchid Society magazine. His novels, available on Kindle, include Charisma and Vampire Blood Bank.
