B/w photographs, end-paper map. A very clean copy but the first few pages are loose because of the inferior glued binding. Half-title inscribed by the author. Laid in is a hand-written note to his friend Joan Barlow. "This is the account of the life of an ordinary family forty to fifty years ago. It began as a book largely about angling but soon .became a broader reminiscence .of everyday happenings in the little hamlet of Orleton on the banks of the Teme in Worcestershire." Although the imprint pages merely states 'Reprinted 1989,' this is actually a new edition.
