Hardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st Edition. The book pages and binding--the important stuff--are in Very Good condition, clean and unmarked but sunned an inch around edges. The boards are Good but sunned at the top and bottom and show some shelf wear and a little bit of chipping at the corners. There is a Fair DJ but it is torn and repaired with tape. Overall, the issues are cosmetic and not structural or effecting the compelling black & white photos. Bruce Gilden has always had a fascination with what he calls, characters. So, for Bruce, New York City a metropolis known for its idiosyncratic citizenry is a giant creative playground. Facing New York, his first major photo book, finds Bruce and his camera at their most intensity, capturing New Yorkers in moments of utter spontaneity and exposing the humanity that lies behind their hardened exteriors.
