"This is a book that untangles and examines the complex ties that bind many mothers. In her photographs and short stories, Nettles blends her experiences of childhood, education, pregnancy, childbirth, housework, and professional life. She demonstrates how she uses intrusions, improvization, and balancing as the basis for her art, an art that is tightly woven with her life." (back cover) With a running narrative by the photographer herself. Uncommon. Nº de ref. del artículo: 152466

Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. A book that is difficult to describe. Full of both writing and photographs, all black and white. Some are straightforward images, others more like collages. Its theme is highly personal and, therefore, engaging. The only physical flaws with this copy are on the front and back cover. Years of going off and on the shelf caused some of the black finish to show rubbing. Some might call it the patina of aging. A copy signed by a unique artist. Signed by Author(s).
