Originally published in 1861 by Dr Moritz Schuppert, the treatise is 47 pages. Very good copy of the hard back book. Grey cloth covers are clean, with a strong binding. 116 pages total. Rutkow, M.D. The Louisiana Hospital, established by Formento in 1861, had a much lower mortality rate than regular army hospitals and this was attributed to his insistence on small wards, extreme cleanliness, good food, and ample fresh air.
