Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. Facsimile Edition. pp: 142. Pictorial dust jacket, burgundy boards, pictorial endpapers, and frontispiece map. The book is a facsimile of the first 1936 publication by Princeton University Press. Kerr, the author, was Canadian-born, served with the Canadian Corps during the First World War, and wrote two well received accounts of his service. In this study, Kerr proposes to answer the question 'why did some North American colonies choose to revolt (13 Colonies of North America), but most chose to remain loyal. He focused on Bermuda, as it presented an unusual set of conditions. For example, Bermuda had close and strong commercial ties with the 13 Colonies. Consequently, the US had plans to seize Bermuda due to these economic ties. This is a near fine copy in dust jacket. Nº de ref. del artículo: 007985
