The really Big Woods of the Pacific Northwest are gone. Sadly, only scattered remnants of the magnificent stands of timber which populated the forests of Washington and Oregon can now be found. And, since preserving such forests in great numbers was not carried out, we who survive frequently try to re-live the exciting era of those marvelous, gargantuan creatures.
