Sinopsis
This book contains the proceedings of the "4th Winter Session" of the Arab School of Science and Technology, conducted at Damascus, Syria, in December 1988. The main objective of the session was to educate participants on basic topics in queueing theory, and orient them towards research on current issues in theory and applications. The book is divided into two parts. Chapters 1-5 concentrate on basic theory, chapters 6-10 emphasize applications.
