 
    Based on lectures presented at Western Michigan University during the 2009-2010 Werner Sichel Lecture Seminar Series, this collection of essays on economic forecasting showcases the research of economics professors from several US universities. Topics discussed include forecasting asset prices using non-linear models, perspectives on evaluating macroeconomic forecasts, forecasting regional and industry-level variables, limits to economic forecasting, combining forecasts with many predictors, and real-time forecasting. Higgins is an associate professor of economics and Western Michigan University. His articles have appeared in several economics and business journals.
