Sinopsis
"Leaps" refers to a therapeutic dilemma in which some special and unique measures are called for if it is going to be at all possible to further intrapsychic growth and give impetus to therapeutic progress. It is easy to be led astray in the field of intense infantile emotions with which therapists work. If they are to find new ways to enlarge the frontier of therapeutic influence, they must be prepared to face risks, not blindly and impulsively, but with knowledge, stability, integrity and compassion. This book explores that frontier, and offers guidance and meaningful directions.

Biografía del autor
Mendelsohn is Life Fellow American Psychiatric Association; Life Fellow American Orthopsychiatric Association; Certified in Adult and Child Psychoanalysis American Psychoanalytic Association; Board Certified in Adult and Child Psychiatry, Former Director of the Child Guidance Clinic of Washington University and is currently in private practice of adult and child psychoanalysis in Saint Louis, Missouri.
