Sinopsis
Aquatic entomologists recount their adventures, misfortunes, and surprises as they have looked for details about insects that live in streams across North America. Some of the stories are fictional, but the biology is sound. Each section begins with an overview of the order it covers. The topics include the ghost mayfly, returning Salmonflies to the Logan River, the mystery of the spine-adorned caddisfly, encounter with Arctic black flies, a dragonfly hanging from a leaf, and in defense of whirligig beetles. Acerca del autor
Judith L. Li is an associate professor (retired) in the Department of Fisheries & Wildlife at Oregon State University. She edited "To Harvest, To Hunt." Michael T. Barbour is director of Tetra Tech's Center for Ecological Sciences at Tetra Tech, Inc. and serves internationally as a technical expert in bioassessment.
