Katrina Kenison is the former series editor of The Best American Short Stories anthologies, and she is now an author and blogger. Her books include Mitten Strings for God: Reflections for Mothers in a Hurry.

Kathleen Hirsch is the author of Songs from the Alley (NPP, 1998) and A Home in the Heart of the City (NPP, 1998). She lives with her family in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
