The Homosexual Question. An Attempt to Understand an Issue of Increasing Urgency Within a Christian Perspective

Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. 1st English Translation Edition. Paperback. The Homosexual Question. Translated From the French by Jane Zeni Flinn. Based on a personal knowledge of homosexuals gained in his counselling practice, the author seeks neither to condemn nor condone, but to better understand. The author emphasizes the full meaning of human sexuality as the joyous acceptance of the difference between maleness and femaleness. Homosexuality, he argues, cannot be understood and should not be treated as an illness. With many examples from his practice Oraison demonstrates just how diverse and unique each case is. He suggests a helping process that attempts to understand the homosexual as an individual and proceeds to aid him or her in achieving a rewarding life. From the viewpoint of Christian faith, sexuality is a place where the drama of love and tragedy in the Christian life can often occur. We are all pilgrims who continually fall short of where we want to be, each in one's own way, and homosexuality is understood by Dr. Oraison in the light of many such lacks in every Christian. 132 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
