The book covers macroscopic momentum and mass transfer phenomena associated with free-setting/rising single, spherical and non-spherical, rigid and deformable particles in different types of non-Newtonian media - and the formation, coalescence and breakage of bubbles and drops suspended in a non-Newtonian medium. The book also addresses fluid flow in packed and fluidized beds and in porous media, heat and mass transfer processes in multi-phase particulate systems and falling ball viscometry.
