Mostly double-column text with left columns in English and right columns in French, the latter being translated by Georges and Jacqueline Planel. With Foreword by Floyd Sonnier. Features a total of 123 illustrations - color plates (including frontispiece) as well as b/w drawings - completed by George Rodrigue between 1969 and 1976 among which is a small sketch of Tiffany, the future subject of the artist's "Blue Dog" paintings. Laid-in at front endpapers are two promotional sheet for Baton Rouge museum; laid-in at rear endpapers are magazine clippings regarding various Rodrigue prints and books.
