The sixth issue of Terrazzo: A Biannual Publication on Architecture & Design, Spring/Summer 1991, on the theme of 'Metropolis' and featuring almost entirely photo-essays on cities around the world by Helmut Newton, Nobuyoshi Araki, Ettore Sottsass, Donatella Brun, Santi Caleca, Jed Devine, Timothy Hursley, Shigiechi Nagano, Johnny Pigozzi, Antonio Trimarco, Shuji Yamada, and Max Vadukul. Also includes: scenes from Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis'; Andy Warhol's 'Untitled,' his architectural studies; Travel Notes on the Nature of Metropolises by Ettore Sotsass; Le Corbusier; Andrea Branzi on Humanism Versus Environmentalism; and site plans for Russian utopian settlements, 1920-1930. The magazine was conceived and produced by Ettore Sottsass, with Barbara Radice as editor and Christoph Radl as art director. The magazine reflected Sottsass' single-minded quest for quality, from the choice of subject matter, to the contributing artists and writers, the graphics and images, on to the choice of papers used for the cover and interior. The periodical lasted 13 issues, the last published in 1996. 240 pages; b&w illustrations throughout; 9.5 x 13.25 inches. Text in English. Due to size and weight, international and expedited shipping will be more than quoted. Nº de ref. del artículo: 23825
