This authoritative resource provides practical ways for nurses to achieve evidence-based practice by using and conducting clinical research. The authors present step-by-step guides to the clinical research process, as well as information on presenting and publishing research findings. The book also uses clinically relevant examples to present ways to apply knowledge to clinical practice settings. It provides guidance on the processes used in acquiring, evaluating, and implementing evidence-based practice; covers methods of communicating evidence-based practice activities through oral presentations and publications; and contains appendices that present examples of evidence-based practice activities, examples of protocols, and a resource list of relevant websites.
