Nursing is a crucial component of our healthcare system, and yet, unlike the services provided by doctors, the care given to patients by our nurses remains largely undocumented in a measurable format. Because of the lack of available data, nursing is rarely considered by the government when changes are made to our healthcare system, and as a consequence nursing continues to suffer the most severe budget cuts and lack of support.
