Sinopsis

To create this exceptional volume, important photographers from around the world were invited to submit work in which the theme "shorelines" is expressed. Forget the obvious. Here, the human imagination takes hold and the reader's idea of a shoreline, or what constitutes a shoreline, will never be the same. For photographer Maria Muller, the shoreline is no more mysterious than the swimming pool's edge, water contained in a giant concrete bowl. Pete Stone photographs the antithesis: an empty pool, with the raging ocean beyond.
The shoreline as seen from boats, from rustic old fishing cabins and even with panoramic camers are all presented here in vibrant color and strong black and white photography.
For all of these unorthodox interpretations of the shoreline, be reassured that the romantic notion of the shoreline, where the infinity of the water touches the reality of the land, is still held in high regard by many of these photographers.
