The Authors: A member of the Academy of Scholars and the Academy of Literary Studies, Horst S. Daemmrich is Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures and Comparative Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Known widely as a critic and scholar, he is the author of many scholarly studies and books on German literature, literary history, and literary theory.
A former Fulbright Fellow at the University of Bonn, Ingrid G. Daemmrich has published numerous pioneering studies on compositional theory, humor, reciprocal literary creations, and the function of motifs in literature. She is currently a member of the Department of Humanities and Communications at Drexel University.
