A keynote address (one of two) on innovating chemical plant operations by applying advanced technology and management sets the tone for the July 1993 conference. The 57 papers address: plant-wide optimization, product integrity/quality, planning and scheduling, environmental issues, next generation enabling technology, control/dynamics, identification/diagnosis, design, and information systems.
