Geza von Molnar is professor of German language and literature at Northwestern University. He is the author of Novalis’ “Fichte Studies”: The Foundations of his Aesthetics and co-editor of Versuche zu Goethe. His essays on Novalis, Goethe, and Kant have appeared in PMLA, Goethe Jahrbuch, Lessing Yearbook, Goethe Yearbook, and other scholarly publications.
