Stephen L. Wasby, Professor of Political Science at Southern Illinois Uni­versity at Carbondale, received the M.A. and the Ph.D. from the Univer­sity of Oregon. He was a Russell Sage Post-Doctoral Resident in Law and Social Science, University of Wisconsin?Madison (1969?70). He is the author of Political Science: The Discipline and Its Dimensions, The Im­pact of the United States Supreme Court, and Continuity and Change: From the Warren Court to the Burger Court. He is a member of the edito­rial boards of Policy Studies Journal and Justice System Journal, and is engaged in research on the communication of legal decisions.
