This book is a practical and well-illustrated text on the techniques and procedures used in imaging in patients with epilepsy. There exists no other textbook devoted solely to this topic. The value of neuroimaging in patients with seizures is great. Patients with partial or focal (restricted to a certain portion of the brain) require CT or MRI scans to determine whether a brain lesion is associated with the epilepsy; PET scans help to elucidate some of the metabolic changes that occur during seizures.
