A pertinent and accessible textbook for undergraduate business students, who have very little or no knowledge of this subject area. Straightforward terminology has been used to explain complex issues and concepts. The exploration of the concepts reflects the most recent research in strategic management. Comprehensive coverage of topics includes current debates on ethics and resource-based strategy.

The treatment of key issues via the use of up-to -date examples and case studies has been carefully structured for students who are studying this subject area for the first time. The pedagogical development within each chapter enables the students to apply and consolidate what they have learned. There are clear objectives, examples and case studies from a good range of industry sectors and organizations that students can relate to. These are used to contextualise and demonstrate application of the concepts discussed.
