Sinopsis
This concise survey of food legislation is intended as a reference work for a wide range of professionals in the food industry and in enforcement/government as well as being a useful text for students. The Acts and Regulations which control and limit the operation of the food industry are dealt with individually, with major technical requirements summarised. The Food Safety Act of 1990 is fully covered. Also, developments arising from the setting up of the EU single market have been incorporated into this fourth edition. In addition, the government has been pursuing a policy of deregulation, which has given rise to further changes in labelling regulations which are also covered.
