They are designed for parents and teachers to use with children. They can be used as a basis for conversation, and they incorporate a guessing game aspect which should encourage children to want to read on. Children can use the language of the text to write simple stories linked to personal experience - making the books useful for Literacy Hour. Notes for parents and teachers at the back suggest activities based on the topic, and links to the revised curriculum. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition.
