The "Starting Science" series is designed to make science themes come alive through a combination of full-page impact photographs with commentary for discussion, activities and investigations in which the children are involved. It also includes background information further linking pictures and activities into each chapter's topic. Each book in the series provides an introduction to science enquiry methods. In using them the teacher will discover that they are involving the other core subjects of language and maths.
