Steven Montana, computer whiz and hacker extraordinaire, was attending college in Ohio when his world fell apart. A swarm of huge meteors fell all over the world, and in particular on Steven's home town. In an instant, his family and all his friends were gone. Later when he went from repairing broken computer games to working for a government project that was more secret than top secret, he would learn that the "meteor" onslaught had actually been a brief and still secret war between the U.S. and its enemies using a new secret warp drive technology. What's more, unfriendly aliens were observing the Earth and being attacked by secret U.S. spaceships. But this information might not do Steven any good, because those same aliens have grabbed him and are holding him prisoner on a spaceship orbiting Saturn, where he has just seen them completely dissect one of his two fellow prisoners. And it looks like both Steven and the Russian girl who is sharing his captivity are scheduled to be the next alien lab experiments...
