Following a brief history of slack key by well-respected expert Steve Sano, the most commonly used slack key tunings-including Daniel's own G Kilauea tuning-are explained, giving you the tools to develop your own original tunings. A section on creating arrangements covers topics such as ostinato, pedal point and reharmonization. Daniel's arrangements of popular Hawaiian songs and some of his original compositions are included with helpful performance notes. The CD contains every song in the book, performed by Daniel Ho.
