After some 25 years in preparation, the key parts of EN 1993 Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures have now been finalised. David Nethercot is currently Chairman of the Technical Committee of IABSE, Chairman of the BSI Committee responsible for BS 5950 and for UK input to Eurocode 3 and President of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
