Part II gives the essential information on the physical examination and investigations as seen through the eyes of practising paediatricians. Once the diagnosis is made, reference to part III confirms whether the diagnosis is correct and gives treatment advice. Part IV is a self-assessment section with 50 multiple-choice questions, 20 short-answer questions (with answers) and 10 patient management problems as are typically found in course exams.
