Reseña del editor:
"CCEA GCSE Mathematics Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2" builds on KS3 work and prepares students for the CCEA GCSE specifications at the Intermediate tier. The style of presentation is precise but friendly, and in the main intended for whole class teaching. Expository material usually takes the form of guided discovery, which is then supported and consolidated by worked examples and numerous exercises. Each chapter has a comprehensive summary followed by further exercises at three levels of difficulty. There is additional revision material, tests and assessment built in, "mental" mathematics, appropriate historical contexts, and cross-curricular links are made with many other disciplines. Emphasis throughout the series is placed on conceptual development. The material has been widely trialled in schools of all types. The "Student's Book" is filled with colour diagrams, illustrations and photographs which are used to support and exemplify the text. The use of computers and calculators is incorporated as appropriate and the ICT requirement is addressed throughout.
