This is the second book in the Murray series specifically written for the post-Common Core Advanced Level Mathematics syllabuses. "Mechanics" covers all the relevant topics for the major A Level Mathematics syllabuses, whether modular or linear. Early chapters revisit GCSE material from level 7 upwards. The remaining chapters of the book complete the syllabuses and provide numerous exercises to reinforce the material, including plenty to stretch the abler pupil. Each of the fifteen chapters and the four consolidation sections includes questions taken form recent examination papers. There are also longer exercises, which are often of an investigative nature. The book finishes with a set of Mock Examinations of A Level standard and complexity.
