While museum theory and practice are popular fields of study, the pilot volume of the Making Histories in Museums Series examines a subject that has previously been overlooked: history-making in museums. This book employs case studies to investigate theoretical issues involved in medical museums; the histories of African Caribbeans; and making histories of war, rural areas, religion, children, and cities. To extend the discussion of producing histories, the authors in this collection compare different modes of practice and offer suggestions for future study.
