Kieran O'Brien is a partner at a busy specialist equine veterinary practice, which brings him into daily contact with exactly the sort of horse owners at whom this book is aimed. He previously taught at Bristol University, and is a veterinary official for the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. Kieran lives near Tavistock in Devon.
