First Edition. Fine cloth copy in an equally fine dw. Particularly and uncommonly well-preserved; tight, bright, clean and especially sharp-cornered. ; 150 pages; Description: 150 p. illus. 23 cm. Bibliography: p. [135]-147. Nearly 40 years ago, contemplating a dogfight between Israeli and Syrian jets, Shimon Tzabar got to thinking about how war works. The result is a crystal-clear, at times funny inversion of such classics as Sun-Tzu's The Art of War. Readers find the facts on why often victory is not all it's cracked up to be. Practical advice is offered as well, such as what to do if you're in danger of winning, and how to surrender in the midst of a firefight. Subjects: War -- Warfare -- Humour. 1 Kg. "The examples of decline following victory are legion." Tzabar was the editor of the Israeli Imperial News, an anti-Zionist publication, in 1968. He wrote the very rare book, "Much Better Than The Official Michelin Guide to Israeli Prisons, Jails, Concentration Camps and Torture Chambers": "The Grand Tour of the Palestinian Holocaust. The Israeli efforts to get rid of the Palestinians and settle Jews in their place in the whole of the Holy Land. And the world looks on and does nothing just as it did during the Jewish Holocaust." The first and only printing of this was 500 copies. Michelin took Tzabar to court in London and stopped him from printing or distributing any more copies. (1722RO118). Signed by Author(s).
