Sinopsis
This book is based on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. This guide takes those sections of the rules that particularly affect small craft, and explains them briefly. Lights, shapes and sounds are clearly illustrated, as are the basic steering and sailing rules. The full text of the regulations is included at the end of the book. The guide is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.

Acerca del autor
After serving in the Royal Navy, where he was able to race offshore extensively, Basil Mosenthal became a partner in one of the first yacht delivery firms in the USA. Then, after many thousands of miles sailing, he became a consultant in the management of large yachts. Now retired, he is involved with editing and writing yachting books, of which Learn to Navigate, Learning to Crew, Getting Afloat, and Learning to Sail are published by Adlard Coles Nautical.
