Owen Davies was the Royal School of Needlework's first male Apprentice and on completing his course he continued to work as a Workroom embroiderer and teacher for two years. Owen was the needlework consultant for the John Lewis Partnership before returning to the Royal School of Needlework as the Head of Education. He lives in New Malden, Surrey.
