Sinopsis
Ten years have passed since two talented but unknown teenagers from Tyneside, Anthony McPartlin, now 25, and Declan Donnelly, 26, first met and sprang to fame in the hit BBC TV children's drama Byker Grove. Their role in the cult kids show marked the start of their long-standing friendship and the first step on the road to stardom. After leaving the programme the two went on to launch a successful music career as PJ and Duncan, and were quickly snapped up by the BBC who gave them their own programme The Ant and Dec Show which became an instant success. The pair have just left ITV's hugely popular SM:TV Live (drawing a massive audience of both children and adults) and are currently presenting the primetime Pop Idol the follow-up to Popstars. 2002 will see them in a new hour-long primetime Saturday night entertainment show. Fans will learn for the first time all about Ant and Dec's long-standing friendship, (they even live next-door to eachother); where and when it all began and how they juggle their celebrity status with their private lives, (and their long-term well-known girlfriends). Acerca del autor
Alec Lom has worked as a writer for the past 20 years, as a Fleet Street journalist, television script writer and author. The son of an actor, he specialised in showbusiness while working on newspapers like The Daily Mirror before joining BBC TV's entertainment department. A former writer and researcher on This Is Your Life, he has a number of celebrity books to his name, and recently ghosted the autobiography of TV presenter Jim Davidson. Alec is married with two children and lives in London.
