If you enjoyed "GRASS" you musn't miss "GRASS'S FANCY." She's a very fetching piece indeed and he doesn't half fancy her. The fact that she's also a policewoman doesn't worry him all that much - or maybe it does, in the long run.
What bothers him more is the way nothing ever seems to work out quite right. He's got Detective Sergeant Boggis pushing on one side and Frenchy Watts and his ugly mob leaning on the other. He's being pulled by that luscious lady dressed in black and white, and a couple of other ladies too, not to mention two hundred thousand quids worth of very tempting loot. In the middle of all that, he can still feel sorry for poor little Meat Matthews, and it doesn't seem possible that he can mix it all up and make sense of it.
But he does - or Padder Nash does - and the result is a wild story that often borders on the hilarious.
