This hardback is a history of the Special Air Service and its operations, with a jungle photograph of an SAS soldier on the green cover and a photographic plate section inside including images of SAS patrols in Borneo. The green cloth boards show some wear and marking to the surface, with light staining visible on the upper board. The dust jacket has toning and spotting to the white background, particularly along the edges, plus a small closed tear near the top corner. The spine remains legible with the title and author in red lettering, and a Hale label and shelf number sticker are present. The book carries a former library stamp and label to the title page, with a date stamp reading 9 May 1986, and a library date-label slip to the front endpaper.
