"Introduction to Geography" provides a comprehensive overview of this broad area of study. Like its predecessors, this fourth edition is organized around the major research traditions of geography: physical, cultural, locational and regional. The logical interconnection of these parts is also stressed. Within these major themes, the topics discussed include: the weather and climate; population geography; urban geography; political geography and economic geography. This edition has been fully revised and updated to reflect changes in both the different topical areas of geography and recent dramatic changes in world political and economic circumstances. Many of the maps have been revised or replaced to include the latest national boundaries. An appendix includes a modified version of the 1993 World Population Data Sheet of the Population Reference Bureau.
