Sinopsis

Sisters, Nelle and Alice enjoy exploring and playing together outside. While playing in their backyard one afternoon, big sister, Alice finds a furry caterpillar under one of their zucchini plants. Nelle wants to pick it up, but Alice leads the way in describing the movements and the amazing physical characteristics of a caterpillar and their ability to transform into a beautiful butterfly. Nelle is curious how her sister knows so much about caterpillars and wants to know more. The two share a charming afternoon discovering and sharing the wonderment and awe of what lives right outside their door.

Acerca del autor

Margarete Rougier was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia on an athletic scholarship to play basketball. Her interest in sports and children led her to a double major in journalism and developmental psychology. Her first book, although never published, was written in a children's literature class while at Temple about a girl who was uncomfortable with being tall. She thought her dream job was working for ESPN on SportsCenter as she worked with the Philadelphia 76ers. As fate would have it, Margarete earned a Master's Degree in Education and became a teacher in Alexandria, Virginia leaving the world of journalism and Sportscasting behind. Fast forward 20 years, Margarete's first published work "Nelle and Alice: The Garden Crawler". Margarete lives in Maryland with her family and has a 12 year old son.
