Críticas

"Both of the first two volumes in Scribner's new series bode well for the rest of the set. Ninety biographical essays, culled from the "Dictionary of Scientific Biography," have been edited for high school readers and include definitions of terms, good illustrations, and sidebars with interesting tidbits on selected scientists. Each volume also includes a preliminary essay on the ere, a bibliography of suggested further readings, a glossary of all terms used in the volume, and an index. Providing more information than a general encyclopedia, the articles are crisply written and convey the excitement of doing science that will attract young readers. The illustrations will tempt them to read essays in addition the ones assigned by the teacher...For librarians seeking good biographical resources for science, these two volumes will be hard to beat. ... These titles are both highly recommended for high school libraries."
